TAILORED, SEWN AND BONDED

My work was selected for the Artists in Residence partnership with POCC x Shutterstock x Clear Channel UK project ‘The power of your heritage’.

My illustration along with many other talented artists' work can now be seen on Clear Channel billboards across the whole of the UK.

About the work: It's a slice of my life with my amma. She is an experienced tailor and would make the most beautiful South Asian clothes with interesting designs. I’d always find her cutting yards of material folded neatly on the floor. Whilst juggling being a part-time office worker, part-time tailor, and full-time mum, she’d find the time to teach me Kantha embroidery (A traditional Bengali embroidery style), something that she learned from her amma.

The final piece is a one-of-a-kind A3 digital painting.
